MAT125 Statistics
This is a project-based introductory course in descriptive and inferential statistics. Methods of descriptive statistics include frequency distributions, common measures of central tendency and variability, elementary concepts of probability, and certain probability distributions such as the normal and binomial. Methods of inferential statistics include the Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for both large and small samples, and correlation, regression analysis and One-way & Two-Way ANOVA. Students will review quantitative skills needed to succeed in this course. A project and a computer lab component are incorporated.
A graphing calculator is required. The instructor will provide more information on the required materials for the course.
