CLS212 Clinical Chemistry

This course provides students with the principles and practices of the clinical chemistry laboratory. Topics include automation, quality control, safety, laboratory techniques, specimen integrity, basis for the tests, procedures, and significance of results. Analytes studied include electrolytes, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and non-protein nitrogens compounds, and enzymes (cardiac, pancreatic, liver).
