EMS111 Cardiovascular Emergencies Laboratory

Students will apply the concepts of anatomy and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system. The student will use pathophysiological principles and the assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implementation of a treatment plan for a patient with cardiopulmonary emergencies. A detailed assessment will include epidemiology, pathophysiology, assessment techniques, and the management of adult and pediatric patients with cardiovascular diseases. This course allows the student to practice these skills in a lab environment and simulated patient encounters. NREMT Skill Stations: Dynamic Cardiology, Static Cardiology will be completed in this course.
