President’s Message

Welcome to Northern Essex Community College!

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to look around our web site and learn more about NECC and all that we have to offer.

As a former community college student myself, I know how important flexibility, affordability, and personal support are to your success. At our campuses in Haverhill and Lawrence, online, and at partnering locations across the Merrimack Valley, you’ll discover classes that work for your schedule, faculty who are experts in their fields, and staff committed to helping you get from wherever you are, to where you want to be.

NECC provides a wide variety of classes, in more than 70 degree and certificate programs, to prepare you for transfer to a four-year college or university, or to enter the workforce. We also have a full range of support services including career planning and advising, financial aid assistance, veteran’s services, tutoring services for those with disabilities, child care and more.

The college is a valuable community resource, providing customized training and a skilled workforce for area employers, and cultural and educational opportunities for people of all ages from summer camps for children to lifelong learning programs for seniors.
