WRT001 Introduction to Basic Writing

Designed to prepare students for success in the Basic Writing course (WRT010), this course will focus on sentence structure, punctuation and grammatical correctness; paragraph structure, development and style; and an introduction to the five paragraph essay. Instructors require 1/2 hour/week of additional lab.

PLEASE NOTE: This course is a developmental course and DOES NOT carry graduation credit. It is NOT usually transferable. Since developmental courses are mandated courses, students who do not meet the exit criteria of C or better for Introduction to Basic Writing will be required to repeat this course.
