MAT099 Applied Math Support

In this course, students will improve algebra and trigonometry skills needed to succeed in MAT115, Applied Mathematics emphasizing conceptual understanding of algebra, trigonometry, real-world applications, active learning, critical thinking, and strategies for student success in subsequent STEM math courses.

NOTE: Students must be enrolled in the companion MAT115 course concurrently with MAT099. Students who place into College Reading must be enrolled in REA021. This course is developmental and does not carry graduation credit and is not transferable. Students who do not meet the exit criteria of a grade of "C" will be required to repeat the course.

Prerequisite

MAT020 Foundations of Math with a C or better or Math Placement and REA011 Basic Reading.

Corequisite
