LIT263 The Short Story

This course explores the short story as a reflection of cultural and social issues and examines how stories serve as a blueprint for notions of identity, self-discovery and cultural insight. Emphasis is on contemporary stories from diverse societiies and focuses on themes including gender, war, science, race, class, death and love.
