MAT130 Precalculus for Business/Social/Life Sciences

This course provides comprehensive knowledge of algebra with an emphasis on graphing to visualize and solving real life application problems in the field of business, social and life sciences. Topics include linear and quadratic modeling, solutions of linear and quadratic equations, piecewise defined and power functions, translation, and reflection of graphs; analysis of functions; inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions; polynomial and rational functions; systems of equations. The TI-83, TI-83 Plus, or TI-84 Plus graphing calculator is required.
