DAN222 Dance Composition II

Dance Composition II course builds on the choreographic techniques used in Dance Composition I. Students will be given more advanced experiences in improvisation and composition techniques and will experiment with various academically-based concepts such as myth, literature, and psychology. The General principles of dance technique encompass turn-out, proper alignment, weight distribution, stance, transfer of weight, squareness, pullup or lift, conterpull, counter balance, aplomb, and balance.
