Mission Statement
The Office of Student Life at Northern Essex Community College is aimed at creating a culture of civility, responsibility, and inclusion on campus. Through the implementation of a holistic and student-centered approach to potential violations of the Student Code of Conduct and a dedication to student advocacy and leadership, the office looks to forward Northern Essex Community College’s overall institutional mission. To achieve this mission, the Office of Student Life will administer ongoing prevention programming initiatives created for the campus community, as well as specialty programs by request of staff, faculty and student organizations. It will also assist in support of college initiatives for student learning, cultural intelligence, and the overall development of an inclusive campus climate. Additionally, the Office of Student Life collaborates with college partners to engage the community in the student conduct process through the use of judicial boards, student advisors, restorative justice practices, and experiential learning opportunities for student found responsible for violations to the Student Code of Conduct.
