The associate in science degree program in Business Management: Computer Applications Option provides a basic core of business courses that introduces students to a variety of areas within the field of business combined with computer courses to provide basic skills in business as well as data management. A wide choice of business management electives allows students maximum flexibility in choosing their program of study. This program may be preferred by those planning to transfer to a four-year college who want the flexibility of choosing specific business electives for a particular institution. A minimum of 63 credit hours are required for graduation.

Starting in the Fall of 2014, any student enrolled in an associate degree program who is new to NECC and has no academic history at the college, must take at least one course designated as intensive in each of NECC’s six core academic skills in order to graduate. In most cases, the program’s core required courses include these intensive courses. Plan to see an advisor for more complete information about this graduation requirement.

Program Notes

This program of study would enable a student to better match electives in a Baccalaureate degree in business management or computer information systems. A student who selects this program as a terminal degree would have enhanced skills for management positions requiring computer applications as a major job function.
