PAR208 Contract Law

This course first focuses on the formation of a contract with special emphasis on the elements of formation and the problems in formation. It then focuses substantial attention on the discharging of a contract and the remedies available for the breach of a contract. Special consideration will be given to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), specifically the formation of, the discharge of, and the remedies under a Sales Agreement. UCC Financing Statements will also be discussed. Students must draft a contract and a UCC Financing Statement. Students will also prepare a legal review of a contract.
