ART232 Painting II

This course is a continuation of Painting I. The course introduces traditional materials and techniques with emphasis placed on developing the student’s ability to create a convincing illusion of form, light, color, and texture from direct observation. Projects focus on different aspects of visual perception, composition, and artists' materials. Emphasis is placed on complexity and subtlety of color and composition. Students are encouraged to find personal solutions to the general problems presented.
