ESL022 ESL Intermediate Reading

This reading course for English language learners includes the development of intermediate skills and strategies in reading comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking; intermediate academic vocabulary and the application of level-appropriate grammar and mechanics; and the ability to respond to academic readings using summary of ideas within short paragraphs. PLEASE NOTE: This is a developmental course and DOES NOT carry graduation credit. It is NOT usually transferable. Since developmental courses are mandated, students who do not meet the exit criteria with a grade of C or higher for ESL will be required to repeat them.
