Evidence-based research has confirmed that trauma is a significant and destructive condition affecting all ages, but is especially serious when experienced by children. With NECC’s Children’s Behavioral Health Specialist Certificate students will gain knowledge and skills from instructors who are trained and experienced in working with that population. This certificate will be of value to those who are interested in working with children and families. Students complete 150 hours supervised field work in an agency that treats the target population.
A minimum of 19 credits is required for graduation.
All 19 credits can be applied to the Associate Degree in Human Services.
Students must earn a grade of C- or better in all HUS courses in order to graduate.
Additional Admissions Criteria: Enrollment Services will provide additional admissions criteria for this program.
