PNS113 Practical Practical Nursing Pharmacology I

This introductory course provides the theoretical background that enables practical nursing students to provide safe, effective, and holistic care related to medications and natural products given to diverse patients across the lifespan. Basic concepts and techniques of dosage calculations and medication administration by a variety of routes are introduced. Learners will apply the steps of the nursing process when administering medications in the role of the Practical Nurse. An emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking skills when using pharmacological information sources and technology.
