HES210 Pediatric Advanced Life Support
This course uses a problem-oriented, scenario-based educational approach to provide information needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in children and infants, and to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children who experience respiratory failure, shock and cardiopulmonary arrests. Upon successful completion of this course, participants are eligible for the American Heart Association PALS card. (One credit; total of 15 hours in experiential learning activities.) Students enrolled in this course must be a Health care provider or second-year student in the health professions with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
