HES211 Neonatal Resuscitation Program

This course uses a problem-oriented, scenario-based educational approach incorporating the standards and guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiac care of newborns, as authored in co-sponsorship by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association (AHA). Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible for the Neonatal Resuscitation Provider card. (One credit; total of 15 hours in experiential learning activities.) Students enrolled in this course must be a Health care provider or second-year student in the health professions with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
