DAN201 Dance Performance

Dance Performance will include intermediate ballet, modern and/or Jazz training in both classical technique and improvisation. Emphasis is on technique and dance production, including: choreography, program development, rehearsal, costuming, lighting, and audiovisual effects. Students will perform two dance pieces, one of repertory and one that is improvisational. The general principles of dance technique requires turn-out, proper alignment, weight distribution, stance, transfer of weight, squareness, pull-up or lift, counter-pull, counter balance, aplomb and balance.
