EST211 Engineering Mechanics I - Statics

This course provides instructions on application of Newton’s Laws to solve engineering problems in statics. The free-body diagram method is emphasized. The topics include vector algebra, force, moment of force, couples, statics equilibrium of rigid bodies, truss, friction, properties of areas, shear and moment diagrams, flexible cables, screws, bearings, and belts.
