EST114 Material Science

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of properties of materials, which is potentially applicable to advanced manufacturing. Topics include: atomic structure, periodic table, molecular structure, bonding, properties of solids, properties of metal, fracture, fatigue, corrosion of metals and thermal processing of metals.
