SPN220 Spanish for Heritage Learners
The course is designed for heritage learners who have not formally studied the Spanish language. It seeks to further develop listening, writing, speaking, and reading skills in a context that emphasizes the use of Spanish in professional settings. The course, which will be conducted in Spanish, aims to study Spanish-speaking communities in their native countries and in the U.S. Furthermore, this course will introduce students to Spanish for the professions to correlate the use of Spanish language for specific employment purposes. This course is not intended for true beginners, who should take Spanish 111. Selected Spanish native speakers and bilinguals who wish to enroll in this class need to receive prior approval from the class instructor.
