MAT021 Basic Algebra I

This course is designed to prepare students for other courses which require basic skills in algebra. Topics include number and variable sense, linear equations, an introduction to graphing, factoring and polynomials (with an emphasis throughout on conceptual understanding and applications to real world problems.)

PLEASE NOTE: This course is a developmental course and DOES NOT carry graduation credit. It is NOT usually transferable. Since developmental courses are mandated courses, students who do not meet the exit criteria of a grade of C or higher for math will be required to repeat them.
