PAR100 Introduction to Paralegalism

This introductory course is designed to prepare paralegals for the practical aspects of their future profession, including legal analysis, interviewing, investigation, computer applications in law, and law office administration. In addition, career expectations and employment opportunities are explored. Special considerations will be given to the regulation of paralegals and the ethical issues confronting the paralegal profession, such as conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and the unauthorized practice of law.
