GOV212 Women & the Law

This course is designed to introduce students to various areas of law that affect women. It will include such topics as an historical overview of women's legal rights in the US, employment rights and benefits, education, criminal law, marriage and divorce and reproductive issues as well as other constitutional issues specifically pertinent to women. Students will each explore one area in depth. This is an introductory course that does not presuppose prior study of law.
