MAT022 Foundations of Algebra

This course is designed as a sequel to Foundations of Mathematics or as a first course for students who have had at least one year of high school algebra. Topics include graphing and functions, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, radicals, linear and quadratic equations. (with an emphasis throughout on conceptual understanding and applications to real world problems.) PLEASE NOTE: This course is a developmental course and DOES NOT carry graduation credit. It is NOT usually transferable. Since developmental courses are mandated courses, students who do not meet the exit criteria of a grade of C or higher for math will be required to repeat them
