EDU205 Teaching History and Social Sciences

The course prepares prospective educators with an overview of the importance of inclusive and responsive teaching instruction in the area of the history and social sciences. Students will gain knowledge of the history and social science content standards as they examine and explore effective teaching strategies and lesson design for all grade level learners. There is an emphasis on the teaching strategies of inquiry, collaborative learning and problem solving as students develop an understanding of democratic values and social participation and applying the information to the classroom.
